The HiPhi Z was originally previewed by the HiPhi Z Concept revealed in November 2021. The production HiPhi Z was presented at the 2022 Chengdu Auto Show in August 2022. The HiPhi Z is based on the same platform that underpins the HiPhi X electric luxury crossover. The top of the trim variant of the HiPhi Z has electric motors on both the front and rear axle, putting out a combined output of 600 hp (450 kW; 610 PS) and 820 N⋅m (605 lb⋅ft) of torque and can propel the HiPhi Z from 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.8 seconds. The single motor rear-wheel-drive HiPhi Z has an output of 300 hp (220 kW; 300 PS) and 410 N⋅m (302 lb⋅ft) of torque. The HiPhi Z will come with a 120 kWh battery pack promising 705 km (438 miles) of NEDC range.
