For a week, the occupation has besieged and directly targeted the Nasser and Amal hospitals in western Khan Younis, southern #Gaza Strip.
Today, the Red Crescent reported on the conditions inside Al-Amal, stating that the hospital dealt with three martyrs and four injuries, all of them displaced people. Two of the martyrs ascended during their attempt to evacuate a martyr who is still, to this moment, lying on the ground a few meters from the hospital. One of the martyrs is the brother of a volunteer nurse in the hospital.
In spite of the occupation demanding patients, staff, and the displaced evacuate the hospital and go to Al-Mawasi in Rafah, the Red Crescent stated: “We will not evacuate Al-Amal Hospital except through coordination or a humanitarian corridor that guarantees the safety of those inside it.“
In fact, the Red Crescent reported that their medical point in the “safe area“ of Al-Mawasi came under attack by IOF vehicles moments ago. Meanwhile, nearby Nasser Medical Complex also faces evacuation threats and direct targeting.
In parallel, the IOF has renewed its siege of Al-Shifa Hospital in the northern Strip today, after it was besieged for several days in mid-November.
Bombing renewed on the hospital and its vicinity, prompting thousands of displaced people in it to seek new refuge. Over 20 airstrikes targeted the area today, leading to the martyrdom of 25 and the injury of over 50. The displaced cannot leave due to the intensity of the bombing.
