️ Ukrainian POW Yury Zadorozhny speaks how AFU command sent his unit in Kursk region and left them behind As he said, those mobilised men, who were over 50 years old, were organised in a security company and sent to Kursk region even though the command said that these men would be sent to Sumy region to dig in. Before deployment, Zadorozhny and his comrades underwent drills at a training ground. ’We spent three weeks at a training ground in Chernigov region. Most of us were over 50. There weren’t many young people. When this company was formed, we were told that we would stay in the rear, that we would work in the rear. They said that we wouldn’t go to the front lines,’ said Yury Zadorozhny. During an offensive of Russian troops, the AFU command left these men behind. The Zadorozhny’s unit suffered great losses, but nine men surrendered and survived. ’We said over the radio that some of us were heavily wounded.
