Jeremy & The Satyrs (N.Y / USA)
Originally released in 1968, this classic Psychedelic / Blues Rock / Jazzrock album is a real gem. This is a gorgeous mix of wonderful trippy psychedelic rock on opener World of Glass Teardrops), and Jazz & Blues Rock, feat. extensive use of flute by frontman and bandleader Jeremy Steig. Along with Warren Bernhardt (keyboards) and drummer Donald MacDonald (who played on the legendary Sabicas – Rock encounter with Joe Beck album) played wonderful flautist Jeremy Steig, extraordinary guitarist Adrian Guillery and famous Eddie Gomez on bass. In 1966 The Satyrs were formed as backing band for folksinger Tim Hardin. Jeremy & The Satyrs were one of the first jazz fusion ensembles that recorded on Reprise Records in 1968
