TODD RUNDGREN’S RACK JOB (1974) DIRECT FROM 12” MASTER ACETATES

24bit/96khz digital transfer from Rundgren’s personal set of mother discs. Rack Job was advertised in ‘73–‘74 trades and was a compilation of Todd’s 1st two solo Lp’s RUNT and THE BALLAD OF TODD RUNDGREN which had it’s own catalog number 2BV-2156 (seen on the acetate labels and cover slick spine pictured in this video) but was shelved before release as Rundgren was moving away from glimmering pop and towards the more progressive sound he was moving towards. This set of master acetates cut, cover art and slicks were designed as well as few super-rare test pressings which have been long coveted collectors items. I’m happy to present the original pressing from the original masters. Even though there is some mild crackle from the degradation of the acetate surface, the sound is much more bold and full-bodied compared to an normal vinyl Lp copy. I reposted in HD for best sound quality. **If you are enjoying my uploads and want to hear more rare TR/Utopia acetates please be sure to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE Thanks
