Daughtry - The Making of ’Artificial’ (Vevo Footnotes)

Everyone’s talking about the dangers of Al, and Chris Daughtry wanted his band’s latest to get in on the conversation as well. In our exclusive Footnotes interview the singer says he wanted the “Artificial“ video to be “dark and ominous.“ So they conceived a worst-case scenario and let it roll. “Just another lethal injection to mankind,“ the lyrics explain, and the cyborg vibe effected by director Ethan Maniquis has plenty of dystopia attached. Sci-fi fiend Daughtry had Terminator’ thoughts in mind as the script developed, and Maniquis brought lots of the background to life with Unreal Game Engine software.
