MA Lighting - MA2 Light Tear down - long look over the hardware and linux, with rambling commentary.

So I spent few nights in the first part of April 2020, during holidays & COVID-19 lockdowns, cleaning and researching the MA Lighting MA2 Light console, and filmed myself talking to myself as I did it. (watch at playback speed x 2). I ramble a lot, because I am not scripting and started out just documenting for my own purposes. I’m an enthusiast when it comes to electronics, but there is some talk about the linux software environment which I am much more proficient in, so skip to somewhere around 3/4 or 00:55 minutes for the linux / software part. I hope you might learn something along the way, and get inspired to get hacky with it. If you are looking to do something interesting and hacky with the console, I’m certainly interested and know a thing or two. I’ll go so far to say I am probably the best independent authority on the MA2 software environment (not operating it!) at this point, at least from what I’ve seen on the internet over the last seven years.
