A Fleeting Glance is a concept album and tells the story of a woman’s life from her own conception to giving birth, it was put together by a variety of musicians and bands at a social club, linked by narration and sound effects, the music contains space-rock jamming (including the riff from ‘Interstellar Overdrive’) to folk/rock (an acoustic cover of ‘Light My Fire’ and a stunning version of ‘Watch The Stars’), choirs, krautrock-styled interludes and even trad jazz. The result is very avante-garde/eccentric the sort of thing Syd Barrett would create. The opening track from uses a healthy portion of Steve Miller Band’s “Song For Our Ancestors“.
