How To Change Chainrings - Changing Your Chain Rings For Road Or Mountain Bikes

Changing your bike’s chainrings is a relatively simple task and requires just a couple of tools. Daniel Lloyd shows you how to do it in the latest of our Maintenance Monday videos. Follow GCN on YouTube: Chainrings from any of the major manufacturers, Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo or FSA all use similar methods of being held in place. If your chainrings are old and damaged, or just worn out from a lot of use, changing your chainrings is a pretty easy way to freshen up your groupset. For most chainrings all you need is a 5mm allen key or torx spanner and a special tool to hold the back part of the chainring bolt in place. Once you know how to change your chainrings it’s an easy job to switch out new rings for your old, tired chain rings, so don’t hang around, get upgrading! #bike #велосипед
