LIVE: Canadian truckers protest grows in Ottawa as new convoy join blockade

Ruptly is live from downtown Ottawa on Saturday, February 5, as more truckers join a protest blockade calling for an end of COVID-19 restriction and dismissal of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Truckers have been blocking traffic in central Ottawa and other locations across Ottawa for about a week now, demanding for their requests to be fulfilled. ​The protest which is of an unprecedented scale for Canada, involves over 200 trucks, more of which are reportedly expected to join on Saturday. Chief of Ottawa police suggested that the use of military could be an option for dispersing the protest,... but PM Trudeau said this was out of the question.
