Göran Söllscher ( 1955 - )
Born in Växjo, a city in southern Sweden. He grew up in Kalmar and started playing the guitar at the age of seven. He won the 20th Paris International Guitar Competition in 1978 while he was a student at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, Denmark. He signed a contract with Deutsche Grammophon, the largest label for classical guitar players. Since then, he has performed with most orchestras in Scandinavia and well-known orchestras such as the New Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, the English Chamber Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe.
